Crossroad fail blues

Wemt down to the crossroads
waitin' for the Devil to come by.
Wanted him to teach me
how to play my old guitar.
But the Devil never came
guess he had something different on his mind.

I was sitting on the crossroads
I was there all alone.
Nobody came down
not even a dog lookin' for a bone
So now I'm leavin'
I'll play my old guitar on my own.

Today I bought a ticket
for a misery train.
It's leavin' the station at 4
I must not be late.
Yes I'm leaving cos nobody cares....
so don't bother to make me stay
